Krka Bike: a little something for everybody – Bike NP Krka

Krka Bike: a little something for everybody

The middle and upper courses of the Krka River are an ideal destination for those who want to spend their vacation actively in untouched nature due to the specific configuration of the terrain and the natural phenomena in the surroundings. The Krka National Park has enriched its tourist offerings by opening fourteen bike routes that connect the most attractive parts of the park, offering access to quite new beautiful spots and challenges.

There are a total of three mountain routes, designed for bicyclists in good physical condition and with advanced bicycle management skills. Bikes are ridden along adapted and/or undisturbed forest paths with ascents and descents that can have a greater slope.

The road routes, three of them located in the park area, are characterized by riding sports bikes on high-quality asphalt roads, on routes with an above average overall length and varied height profiles. They are intended for active athletes looking for physically demanding sports challenges.

For active family outings in nature as well as for occasional bike riders, there are six trekking routes, which combine cycling on paved roads and on good quality macadam roads, with no technically demanding sections.

All the routes are circular and marked in detail to make it easier for visitors, with the necessary rest stops and lookout points with breathtaking views.

When planning your bicycling trip to the Krka, remember that tickets are sold at the entrances of Skradinski Buk, Roški Slap, Krka Monastery, and Burnum, and secure them on time.
