ROAD 3

This route is actually a shortened version of road 2. It starts in the Laškovica visitor center, passes through Kistanje and by Burnum, and on the way back it crosses the Krka River over the Brljan waterfall, and continues through the village of Oklaj. At the end, it descends again to the Krka canyon, to the Roški Slap waterfall, from where it ascends back to Laškovica.

LAŠKOVICA

Laškovica is a small settlement situated above Roški Slap and is home to the new Krka National Park visitor centre. The centre has been designed as a starting point for active tours of the park, a place for rest, getting information, and planning routes through the park. Six cycling routes begin at Laškovica: mountain routes MTB-2, MTB-3, MTB-4, road route R-3 and trekking routes T-5 and T-6.

ROŠKI SLAP

Roški Slap with the Necklace of cascades is a gem hidden in the heart of the canyon. The largest number of cycling routes pass over this feature on the picturesque bridge, surrounded by series of cascades, backwaters and islets.

BURNUM

Burnum is a Roman military camp situated at the site of the present day settlement of Ivoševci, constructed in the 1st century AD. The remnants of the arch of the military command building, and the well preserved amphitheatre. Since the camp was erected in a strategically important location to control the passage over the river, after the departure of the military, Burnum became a thriving town that played an important role into the late years of Antiquity. Just a few hundred metres from Burnum is a viewpoint offering stunning views of the Krka’s tallest waterfall – Manojlovački Slap.
