SKRADINSKI BUK
Skradinski Buk is the seventh and last waterfall on the Krka River, and also the most popular tourist spot within the national park. A wooden bridge has been constructed over the river just under the falls, and together with the trails on either side, make up a walking trail 1900 metres in length. In addition to these natural phenomena, visitors to Skradinski Buk can view the restored water mills, which are an important monument to the commercial history of Šibenik and the region.
Croatia’s first hydroelectric plant was constructed here. The Krka Hydropower plant (later called Jaruga I) was constructed and put into operation on 28 August 1895, just two days after the world’s first power plant on the Niagara River became operational.
